Yard Card Rental FAQ!
Thank you for considering The Yard Card Guy to help you celebrate your next event with a yard card greeting! Below are some FAQ’s about our service. Please feel free to message us with any further questions, we’d be happy to help!
Q) How long do I keep the sign?
A) Typical sign rentals are for a 24 hour period. Depending on the location of delivery and time of the year we may deliver the night before. Additional days can be added.
Q) Under what weather circumstances will my rental be canceled?
A) If winds are over 25 mph or there is more then 3” of snow on grassy areas we will cancel or reschedule your display.
Q) If my Yard Card is canceled because of weather will I get a refund?
A) Yes! 100% refund plus a special coupon for a further event.
Q) How far in advance do I need to book?
A) The earlier the better! Weekend dates typically book up a few months in advance.


TERMS OF YARD CARD GREETINGS RENTALS!
**By paying this invoice you accept the following Terms & Conditions.**

*PAYMENT.  Payment is due at time of booking and payment must clear within 24 hours of delivery. Card payments are handled with PayPal. No checks accepted.
*Props, and color request are not guaranteed*
*CANCELLATION. In the event that you need to cancel your order prior to the day of delivery, we reserve the right to refund 1⁄2 of your payment or you have the option to reschedule for the full value paid. Cancellations made the day of scheduled delivery may not receive a refund. * We reserve to cancel if we arrive and another sign rental company has a display set up, or if one is added without our written consent* A rented by The Yard Card Guy sign will be placed in your yard as well. This is not to be removed. If you do not want this sign, we charge an extra $20. The discount is already in the standard pricing because the rented by sign is included.
*YARD PREP.
*SPRING-FALL*Please make sure the yard is clear of doggie droppings. Please if no rain within 3 days prior to the set-up time, water the grass. If the ground is too hard for set up, we will not be able to set up the yard card. No payment is refunded. Please note we will try our best to get the yard card set up. The use of stands are not available in the spring-fall season.
*WINTER* We like to be able to stake the yard card greeting, if not possible we can use stands. Stand set ups are not as glamourous as an actual staked yard card greeting but it allows us to be able to offer service in the winter as needed. Please have a spot clear of snow/ice and have the driveway/sidewalk salted for our smile makers.
 
*RUSH ORDERS. Rush and same day orders will be accommodated with the following conditions:
        Based on available inventory
        Rush fee may apply
        Orders placed within 24 hours of requested event day are not guaranteed
*INCLEMENT WEATHER. Our smile makers will not be able to deliver your Yard Card Greeting if there is lightning, high winds or other hazardous weather conditions that prevent set up and or take down. In the event of prohibitive weather or inclement weather, if we are unable to reschedule the greeting a refund will be honored.
*WIND EFFECTS AFTER SETUP. We cannot control mother nature. The yard card greeting may shift during peaks of high winds. Please contact our office if you notice the yard card greeting may be getting damaged. If items are available, we maybe able to replace and reset up the greeting. No partial or full refunds because of wind effects.
 *REFUND POLICY. We will not refund payment if homeowner or HOA requests greeting to be removed.  We will not refund payment for errors that occur on order submission.
*The Yard Card Greeting will be delivered on your event date unless other arrangements have been made with our office.
We typically deliver and set up after 7am and removed after 7pm the same day. All prices include delivery (In our delivery area), set up and take down. Time are subject to booking for that day. Set up maybe earlier. *Depending on current reservations and area-your delivery maybe the day before the event day.
*If the Yard Card Greeting is going to be sent as a surprise PLEASE alert someone in the household that our smile makers will be setting up a greeting. Homeowners need to turn off their sprinkler systems and notify yard service companies for the duration of the yard card.
*Do not tape or staple any balloons or “extra” items to the Yard Card Greetings.
*All signs/yard cards remain The Yard Card Guy/Starlyte Entertainments property. Any damage, destruction or tampering with the signs/yard cards is prohibited.  Signs/yard cards should not be moved without the written consent from The Yard Card Guy/Starlyte Entertainment. You are responsible for replacement of the graphic, letter or stake at full replacement value if they are stolen, damaged, or tampered with.
Full payment for any signs/yard cards that are damaged will be enforced.
We reserve the right to decline orders that are political, controversial, lewd, disrespectful or that do not fit the nature of our business. If an order is declined, a full refund will be given.
